  Where do I start telling a psychologist about the mental trauma I feel as a fading jw?

  i am on a pension, so i could not afford to pay for a psychologist, but my good doctor referred me to a free clinic for people on a low income, for my anxiety and depression, so i have finally got my first appointment with a psychologist since i started my fade, so where do i start trying to explain the mental trauma i feel as a fading jw?

  i would appreciate your advice.

  What was it that started you doubting?

  i was in a small town country congregation and had meeting parts every week and had to give talks to neighboring congregations each month, i got bored using the JW library for researcher so i used to look up non jw bible commentary's for new ideas, the more i researched the more i realize how little bible knowledge the jw actually had. the funny thing is everyone used to tell me how refreshing my talks where,then i started lurking on sites like this and jw facts,then the ARC was the last straw.

  after being a jw for 25 years and keeping my true thoughts and feeling all bottled up and putting on the fake kingdom smile for so long i feel that my brain will explode when i finally let it all out. i feel sorry for the poor psych

  i have never read anything about it in any wt publication.

  yet, it is like some unwritten rule.

  play more guitar and listen to more music

  start painting again

  Volunteer to help the disabled people

  eat healthy and exercise more

  don't wast so much time on JW.Net ha ha

  just enjoy life

  a few minutes ago...my door intercom went...i picked up the phone...wasn't expecting anyone.. young child's voice... "were just here with this watchtower why be honest".

  no thanks...byee.. what sort of message is this sending out ?

  As my Aussie Mate Siar2 said why be passive?

  Maybe next time you could say, if you are not alone " i would really love you to come up and discuss all your failed prophecies and the ARC findings with you and who ether is accompanying you ".

  ..to think about how the congregations actually function....even down to the individual level.. the biggest bully on the boe (or his wife), controls the show.. ones within the congregation are treated like they're dirt and still they return.

  I feel sorry for all the poor children who are at the bottom of the jw hierarchy who get disciplined (abused) because of the pressure there parents are under from the org.

  why are men are so messed up? Rather than abuse a child, why not just punch a man in authority in the face. i hate violence but way less damaging than abusing a child
